What am I talking? Moe contests, of course. While Taiga is a great character, she just isn’t moe. No, really not. Voters, I am disappoint. Also, ISML pages down…

A year have passed and I am single again. Way to celebrate the new year (might start celebrating this time of a year instead of that stupid 31/12 – 1/1) and start of Project:Editor 2. (If you don’t know, it has something to do with AMVs.)

I visited AkiCon 2009 even over being ill, I was a mascot and I spent the whole Aki chatting with a certain person. Just like last year. The only difference was that I wasn’t the mascot last year, it was a different person and I had more duties this year. The Sunday of the con is a bit blurry, though. Maybe I should have had brought some footwear with me, because I spent few hours without it there. Not good when you’re ill, really.

I watch few series, mostly interested in Sasameki Koto (I like the current trend of shoujo-ai/yuri!) and Seitokai no Ichizon.

Number of Saki girls went 4 => 2. Kinda weird seeing Yuuki lose, she was IMO stronger than Kyaptain. I have a feeling that Kyaptain won’t stand a chance against Yui, especially if Nodoka wins against Taiga (whose position is kinda weaker now that she won Best Moe).

Predicting finals of Nodoka x Yui, though I’d like to see Taiga x Kyaptain ones…

ISML:

The journey continues on. Voted by my best meaning and hope it will count, somewhat. The previous elimination bracket had no surprises, the current… we’ll see. I am hoping for Yuki/Shana win.

Just as planned, except one thing - Momoko losing in her match, that made me sad panda ;____; Only 9 votes, too! I mean, Louise is fine, but moe? Oh, you!

If Nodoka wins today, Top8 will have 4 Saki girls, which would be a new record for one show characters number in Top8. Woo! Louise will go fast, I suppose, and Kana as well. Taiga and Yui might give some more resistance. Well, we’ll see how the matches will line up.

ISML:

I am kind of disappointed in how no new girls got into ISML Top16, but well, you always have the next years. For now I’ll keep wishing my best to Yuki, I suppose.

It’s results time.

First – Kagami Hiiragi becomes the SaiMoe winner of 2008!

Congratulations, Kagamin!

Tsukasa put up a good fight, even led for the first few hours, but Kagami managed to pull away and to win 1016-959 on votes… so narrow… missed a ball :<

Next up is ISML 2008. In the repeated match between Kagami and Yuki, Yuki managed to pay back and win nicely, 700 to 459. The final Fate vs Yuki is due in few days. Hope to see you there (even more if you are Yuki supporter!).

And lastly, Super Moe news!

Group 1, winners Kagura from Gintama and Suigintou from RM. Louise ended third.

Group 2, winners Lelouch from CG and Hatsune Miku.

Group 3, winners C.C. from CG and Souseiseki from RM. Tamaki ended fourth :<

Group 4, winners Keiichi Maebara from Higurashi and Ranma from Ranma1/2.

The largest rush had Kagura in the group 1, who was even 3rd few first hours, but managed to get to the first place in an awesome style.

The highest percent rate of winner had Keiichi, with 48,1% of all votes.

The last match of SaiMoe 2008 is finally here, and however Hinagiku put a brave fight, she still lost to Tsukasa by 42 votes (Hitchhikers guide to galaxy, anyone?)

Yes, that’s right. The final of SM08 is sister slaughter!

Who do/would you vote for?

This fight will be very interesting and tight, I think. Tsukasa’s chances are lowered a little by the fact that some people don’t want LS vs LS finals. I still voted Tsukasa, though and hope that she will win. Tsundere just isn’t exactly my thing…

The winner will meet Kagami in the finals who slaughtered yet another Clannad girl. Goodbye, Nagisa, and see you the next year…

Kagami is slight favourite against both of todays contestants, but I think all three of them can pull out a victory when timed right.

And with the next fight, it will be over. Remember though, tommorrow there is Kagami vs Yuki match in ISML (winner will meet Fate in finals!) and the day after, Super Moe starts. So much moe…

It’s that time of the year again, hords of rabid fanboys drool over moe characters and cry because of their favourite moe girl losing.

Well, actually I am a little late, as Best Moe has already ended, ISML is almost over and SaiMoe will end in a few days. Well, there is always Super Moe to save the day. (That reminds me – will there be SeiMoe 2008? SaiGAR failed, but I’d love to vote in SeiMoe again. Seems like it’s dead for this year, though…)
